The Story Behind Traveller Socks

For decades, travel stood for freedom.

Today, it has become something of a paradox.

We have never travelled so much.
So fast.
Or so far.

Yet the journey itself has become more demanding: fuller planes, tighter seats, longer waits and journeys that leave many travellers tired before they even reach their destination.

Over time, we have learned to accept this discomfort.

As though heavy legs, swollen feet, restless sleep and fatigue were simply part of travelling.

We believe it does not have to be this way.

Traveller Socks was born from two different backgrounds and two complementary perspectives on travel.

Ludovic has worked in the world of compression for more than twenty years. Throughout his career, one thing kept striking him: despite the comfort compression socks can offer, many travellers still do not wear them.

Not necessarily because they are not interested.

But because they do not think about them before leaving, are unfamiliar with the product or simply do not know where to find them easily.

For my part, I have spent more than twenty-five years travelling around the world.

Hundreds of flights.
Thousands of hours in planes and airports.
Business trips, holidays, connections, early departures and late-night arrivals.

Like many travellers, I had come to accept discomfort as a normal part of the journey.

Then Ludovic introduced me to compression socks designed for travel.

I immediately felt the difference.

But that discovery also raised a simple question:

Why is such a useful product still so difficult for travellers to find when they need it?

Looking at the way people shop in airports helped us understand the opportunity.

Before boarding, travellers can buy water, a book, headphones, a pillow, an adapter or a last-minute accessory.

Yet when it comes to keeping their legs comfortable during the flight, the options are often less visible and harder to find at the moment they need them.

The challenge was not just the product.

It was also access to it.

So we set out to rethink both the sock and the way travellers could discover and buy it.

We developed a sock specifically for travel: comfortable, refined, rich in cotton, straightforward to choose and easy to wear.

But creating a good product was only part of the answer.

We also wanted to make it available in the right place, at the right time, without requiring travellers to plan ahead or go out of their way.

That is how Traveller Socks came to life.

A brand dedicated to traveller comfort, with a simple ambition: to be there when the journey is about to begin.

In summer 2026, we launched our first pilot at Brest Bretagne Airport, with an automated vending machine in the boarding area.

Travellers can choose their size, pick their colour and get ready for their flight in just a few moments.

Where the need becomes real.

Where there is still time to act.

Where a small purchase can make the journey more comfortable.

This first location is a starting point. Our ambition extends beyond vending to airport shops and other relevant travel retail settings.

And our vision goes beyond socks.

We want to develop a new generation of products and services that make travel more comfortable, simpler and more enjoyable.

Useful products.
Thoughtfully designed.
Easy to understand.
Available when they matter.

Our socks are the first expression of that vision.

Travel pillows, sleep masks and other comfort essentials will gradually become part of the Traveller Socks experience.

Our mission is simple:

To make better travel comfort easy to access, exactly when travellers need it.

Because a journey is not only about where you go.

It is also about how you get there.
